Cemetery

The Gordon Cemetery, located at 459 Poplar Road, is beautifully maintained and has been serving our municipality for over 125 years. A columbarium was recently installed for those interested in a granite vault to house the ashes of loved ones.

Care, maintenance, and beautification of the Gordon Cemetery is an ongoing process. Memorial donations for the purchase of a bench, tree, shrubbery, or contributions to specific projects may be made anytime.

Question can be made at 705-282-2702. Inquiries are handled at the Gordon/Barrie Island Municipal office at 29 Noble Sideroad any time between 8:30 and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Plots can be purchased for both residents and non-residents.

Details of internment are available at the municipal office. The office is also a repository of information of family plots dating back to last century.
