New Terminal Near Completion

Rent a Tesla

To offer visitors and pilots a means of travel while visiting Manitoulin, a Tesla Model 3 is available to rent. Cruise around the island in the quiet, efficient Tesla, and return to your airplane at the airport. Civilized. Convenient. And simple.

The CANPASS System

For those needing to pass through customs, By calling 1-888-CANPASS (1-888-226-7277) international visitors can enter Canada. Call before flying and then call a second time upon arriving on Canadian soil. A customs agent will then allow you to enter Canada.

The Gore Bay Flying Club makes its homebase the airport here on the west of the island. Founded in 2014 by Wade Cook, the club is active in the skies flying overhead, training new pilots and taking passengers for tours over the island. The club is active and a force in Gordon/Barrie Island. When a plane flies overhead, be sure to wave.

The airport sees its fair share of extreme weather events so the management lead by Robbie Colwell is world class.
